Helen Webby harp & Anthony Ferner flute
Works by C.P.E Bach, Debussy, Piazzolla & Hovhaness
Helen & Anthony celebrate 26 years of music together, playing favourites from their CD Reverie. Evocative Debussy, joyful Bach, swinging Cole Porter, with Celtic & Tango. Helen plays her Nikau harp, made of South Island Red Beech by her brother Kim Webby. Tony plays two flutes of silver and ebony wood, made in Boston by Vernon Q Powell.
Helen Webby and Anthony Ferner met in 2000, playing in Christchurch Symphony together. Their friendship encompasses orchestra, chamber music, recitals, conducting community ensembles and arranging music for multi harps. To relax, Tony studies Japanese, and Helen bakes French apple tart.
