NCMA is dedicated to improving the lives of our local community through the power of music. We support numerous projects, including music therapy programs, adult community orchestras, and school educational outreach, which have positively impacted the lives of many individuals in the Nelson region.
Music therapy
Find out moreOur music therapy centre provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals to work through emotional, physical, and cognitive challenges. We work with highly trained music therapists who use music as a tool to facilitate healing and growth, addressing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and neurological disorders.
Community Groups
Adult orchestraOur adult community orchestras are open to musicians of all levels and abilities, providing a welcoming space for personal growth, creativity, and community building. Being part of an adult community orchestra can be a transformative experience, allowing you to connect with fellow musicians, showcase your talent, and bring beautiful music to life.
Educational Outreach
What's onThrough Music-Mix, we bring talented musicians to schools to inspire young people to explore the world of music.
