“Arie d’amore italiane” (Italian Arias of Love)
Fall in love with opera — in all its messy, glorious moods.
This concert of Italian opera arias about love journeys through romance and fiery passion, then turns into the darker corners: betrayal, jealousy, and despair. Featuring celebrated works for soprano and mezzo-soprano, you’ll hear favourites including Lascia ch’io pianga, Sposa son disprezzata, Non so più cosa faccio, Vissi d’Arte, Deh vieni non tardar, Porgi Amor and the dazzling Dopo notte — plus other beloved gems. Works by Mozart, Handel, Mascagni, Puccini and more.
An occasion of soaring melody, raw emotion, and unforgettable drama.
