Nelson-raised soprano Jasmine Jessen returns to NCMA for a 4pm recital, joined by pianist Sarah Watkins.
The programme moves through art song and opera, from Rachmaninoff and Britten’s On This Island to well-known arias by Mozart, Donizetti, Puccini and Verdi, alongside songs by Fauré and Lloyd Webber.
A graduate of Te Pae Kōkako – the Aotearoa New Zealand Opera Studio, Jasmine is building a national profile and was awarded first prize at the 2025 ODT Southern Aria Competition. This home performance offers a chance to hear her at an important stage in her career.
She is joined by award-winning pianist Sarah Watkins, a former founding member of NZTrio.
Presented as part of NCMA’s 125th anniversary series, this is an intimate concert with limited seating.
