Trumpet – Kids Free Beginner Class

Our free 8-week beginner trumpet classes are designed for primary and intermediate students who are ready to explore the world of brass instruments. Led by experienced instructors, our classes provide a fun and supportive learning environment where you can learn proper technique, music theory, and build your repertoire. No prior experience is required, and we provide trumpets for hire if needed.  Trumpet playing uses techniques that are transferable to any other brass instrument and can provide a pathway into brass bands, orchestras, jazz and rock bands

Students will cover:

• Fundamental techniques of trumpet playing
• Tonguing
• Correct breathing and posture
• Elementary tone development
• Reading music for beginners

Initially, these lessons are offered for one term of 8 weeks only in groups of 3 or more. However, your child can continue their trumpet education in one of our Small Group Class pricing structures after that. In some cases, if there are no students on the waiting list, we may be able to continue providing free lessons for up to a year. Don’t miss this opportunity to give your child a head start in music!

Students must be a member of NCMA before joining this class and commitment to regular attendance is important so that the class can progress together.
