Karen Austin

Karen is an experienced speech & drama/public speaking teacher and over the years many of her students have won national public speaking competitions and speech & drama awards. Karen is a trained primary school teacher and later moved to secondary teaching so has the skills to bring out the best in students of all ages.

Karen’s philosophy is to help all students reach their communication potential so that they gain confidence and self esteem through interactive teaching in a positive environment. While optional, exams are recommended as they provide a structured framework showing step by step progress. Exams are offered in partnership with Speech NZ and Trinity College. Students range from preschool, primary, intermediate, secondary to adults. Small group and individual classes are available.
