About Anne Shearer
Anne began piano lessons in Wellington and passed her LTCL piano teaching diploma in Nelson under the tutelage of Kathleen Barnett. She became a member of the IRMTNZ in 1992 and has over 30 years experience at teaching both children and adults from beginner through to diploma level.
Anne is an experienced accompanist. She has worked at all levels accompanying singers, instrumentalists and choirs. She currently accompanies a community choir and enjoys the challenge of new and varied music.
Skills and expertise
Anne loves the piano and a wide variety of music and enjoys seeing students develop their skill on the instrument. She organises two student concerts each year in which students are encouraged to share their music with parents and friends.
