Florence McNabb is an 18-year old singer songwriter who performs a mix of acoustic covers and originals, accompanying herself on guitar.
She began playing and performing at the age of seven, and since then has been involved in multiple bands and many local events.
Currently, she is the lead vocalist of the band Parallel Park, who released their debut album ‘Flower Fields’ in February of this year. The creative process of the album was entirely independent and Florence wrote the melodies and lyrics to all 10-tracks.
She loves to tell stories through her music and lyrics, and in 2021 was awarded the APRA lyric award at the regional RockQuest competition for her solo performance of her original song ‘Alaska’.
In 2023 Parallel Park won the regional RockQuest final, and performed at the national final in Auckland as the guest band.
She is currently continuing to write, record and release original music as part of Parallel Park as well as a solo artist, and hopes to continue performing as she moves overseas for the later half of 2024.
