Are you already familiar with the basics of reading music, but find yourself puzzled by signs and symbols on musical scores? This concise course aims to enhance your music reading skills. From unraveling the workings of an orchestral score to improving your understanding of rhythm, we will address your questions to help you gain a deeper understanding of the music you play. Geared towards individuals with a foundational knowledge of reading music but seeking more confidence.
Participants will develop an understanding of:
- Time signatures, clefs and scores
- Rhythmic patterns
- Italian terms
- Musical symbols
- Compositional devices
