Nelson Guitar Orchestra – Taster Session

Curious about playing guitar in a group? Come along to a free taster session with the Nelson Guitar Orchestra!

Open to classical guitarists of all levels, the orchestra brings together amateur players and students to enjoy making music in a friendly, supportive environment.

We meet weekly on Tuesday evenings for an hour and a half, working on a variety of contemporary guitar ensemble pieces, as well as arrangements of classical and world music.

As a member, you’ll have the chance to improve your ensemble playing, sight-reading, technique, musical interpretation, and performance skills.

We perform two to three times a year, but most of all—we have fun making music together. Come and see what we’re all about!
