Description

Join our exciting small group clarinet class designed just for children. Discover the joy of playing the clarinet in a fun and supportive environment. Led by an experienced instructor, students will learn fundamental techniques, explore various musical styles, and develop their musicality through engaging activities and ensemble playing. Our small class size ensures personalised attention and fosters collaboration among budding musicians. No prior experience is necessary – beginners are welcome! Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to embark on a new musical journey.

Students will cover:

  • Playing posture and breath support
  • Basic clarinet technique, such as tonguing and fingering
  • Reading music notation
  • Learning to play familiar melodies and songs
  • Developing ensemble skills by playing with others in the class
  • Introduction to music theory concepts, such as rhythm, harmony, and form

Please note that students need to be able to physically support the clarinet and saxophone before beginning.  As a guide, 8 years of age is usually a good time to start.

Please talk to us about instrument hire as an option.
