Supporting the next chapter of NCMA
For 125 years, the Nelson Centre of Musical Arts has been at the heart of the region’s cultural life, providing a home for music teaching, performance and community activity.
Like many historic arts organisations, our strength has seldom come from large endowments or ongoing government funding, but from steady, long-term community support. That collective commitment has allowed the building to be cared for, programmes to grow, and music to remain at the heart of Nelson.

To help ensure this continues, we are marking our 125th year by inviting 125 people to each contribute $1,000. Together, this will create a $125,000 fund to help care for the building, support our work, and ensure NCMA remains a living centre for music into the future.
Donors recognised on display
As part of the 125 for 125 campaign, each supporter is invited to select a year from our 125-year history to sponsor, helping us tell the story of NCMA through the people who support it today. Some supporters may also wish to make a contribution to the NCMA Foundation, which provides long-term financial sustainability for the organisation. We would be pleased to talk with you about this option.
