About Hannah Thompson-Holloway
Hannah is new to the Nelson area having previously taught contemporary voice at the University of Otago in Dunedin for the last 6 years. As well as teaching voice, Hannah is a performer herself and has sung many weddings and functions, gigging as a soloist or as part of a band. She has also written songs for PCANZ and continues to be involved in the Christian music scene.
Skills and expertise
Hannah is passionate about students finding joy in singing and expressing themselves while also encouraging a high level of craftsmanship, artistry and skill with their unique instrument. She tailors vocal lessons to suit a student’s individual goals and enjoys working with them to achieve them. Through her training, Hannah draws on many different vocal pedagogues’ theories to inform her teaching methodology, but above all she promotes healthy singing techniques to develop your voice’s full potential while finding an individual sound in the contemporary market. Hannah has experience teaching across a wide age range but tends to focus on high school aged teens through to adults.
