Bo Ade-Simpson

Bo is a highly active professional musician, known for touring nationwide with his own original music. With his captivating performances, he has graced stages of all sizes, entertaining audiences comprising thousands of people. Bo’s talent has led to numerous opportunities for him to open for top artists such as Bic Runga, Jason Kerrison (Opshop), Albi and the Wolves, Mako Road, Greg Johnson, and many others. Not only has he recorded and produced his own album, but he has also lent his expertise to other artists, showcasing his skills as a versatile musician and producer.

Bo’s style as a musician and guitar teacher revolves heavily around improvisation, flow state, and jamming. His approach empowers his students to develop skills that enable them to create their own music while seamlessly fitting in with others. He teaches his students to understand the guitar in a way that is personalised to them, allowing the freedom of expression when playing, giving them the chance to create their own style and be their own guitarist.

Bo’s teaching style encompasses a harmonious blend of rhythm, chords, melodic lead, single notes, and fingerpicking techniques. In terms of inspirations, Bo draws influence from legendary artists and bands such as Dire Straits, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Fleetwood Mac, among others. These influences shape his musical perspective and contribute to the rich and varied learning experiences he offers his students.  Age is no barrier for Bo, as he has successfully taught individuals of all age groups.
