If you’ve ever found yourself admiring those who effortlessly vamp or accompany themselves on the piano and wondered how to do this, then this course is tailor-made for you. Join Liz as she guides piano enthusiasts of all levels through chordal accompaniment in this short and engaging course. Whether you read music or prefer playing by ear, you’ll explore rhythmic chord arrangements, improvisation with or without sheet music, and techniques like left-hand bass, right-hand broken chords, and inversions. Perfect for those eager to vamp with chords, this course creates a vibrant space for self-accompaniment. Singers are warmly encouraged to participate, ensuring an enjoyable and beneficial musical experience for everyone, regardless of skill level
Students will cover:
- Playing chord symbols (e.g. C | Am | G7 etc.)
- Rhythmic Chord Arrangements
- Chordal hand shapes on the piano
- Improvisation Techniques
- Left-Hand Bass
- Vamping with Chords
- Inversion Proficiency
