Cello – Kids Free Beginner Class

Our free 8-week beginner cello lessons for primary and intermediate students provide the perfect opportunity to explore the beautiful sounds of this classic instrument. Led by experienced instructors, our classes offer a supportive and fun learning environment where your child will develop cello techniques, music theory, and ensemble skills. No prior experience is required, and we provide instruments for hire if needed.

Students will cover:

• Care of the cello and bow
• Good posture bow hold and stroke
• Names of notes
• Bowing rhythms on various strings
• String crossing
• Introducing the left hand, reading and creating new notes

Initially, these lessons are offered for one term of 8 weeks only in groups of 3 or more. However, your child can continue their cello education in one of our Small Group Class pricing structures after that. In some cases, if there are no students on the waiting list, we may be able to continue providing free lessons for up to a year. Don’t miss this opportunity to give your child a head start in music!
