Simon Lusby

Guitarist Simon Lusby originally from Christchurch has been performing music since aged 11. Since graduating from the Christchurch Polytech Jazz School, completing an honors degree in Jazz performance and a diploma in teaching and learning in the early 2000’s Simon has spent 20 years performing and teaching all over the world, from the UK, Asia, Latin America and the United States. Simon has performed in various groups in nearly every situation imaginable, he is a successful recording artist and is very passionate about sharing his craft through tutoring guitar and bass guitar.

Simon believes in teaching the fundamentals of guitar and bass guitar from the ground up, making sure all of his students have a solid foundation of all techniques required to be a successful musician and to enjoy music to it’s fullest. Lessons include technique and reading exercises, improvisation skills using scales, theory and transcription, and practical application of chords, strumming and picking styles using songs students will know and enjoy to all ages
