NCMA is delighted to present this unique and inspiring Early Keyboard Festival in February 2020.

Directed by Dr. Kemp English and delivered by esteemed tutors from New Zealand, Australia and Europe, the festival is a must for anyone with a passion for early keyboard instruments and their music.

The festival will play host to one of the finest early keyboard collections in the world which has been housed in a purpose-built studio in Golden Bay, NZ for the last 6 years. This will be the last chance for participants to see, hear and play these priceless instruments before they are relocated to a new permanent home in Australia.

Who Should Attend?

We invite NZ keyboard players (primarily pianists) and participants from overseas to enrol for this rare opportunity to learn about and play these wonderful instruments.

The festival is a must if:

  • You are studying music at tertiary level
  • You have an interest in early keyboard instruments
  • You are a keen pianist, no matter what level

What You Will Learn

Participants will be guided by distinguished tutors from New Zealand, Australia and Europe, all renowned for their expertise in the realms of early keyboards and historically informed performance.

The daily programme will consist of:

  • Lectures
  • Workshops
  • Concerts

Festival Costs

The fee for participating over the 4 days is $999.00 with an earlybird price of $799.00 for those who enrol and pay by Friday 13th December 2019.

The fee includes participation, morning tea and lunch. Participants will need to organise their own travel, accommodation and evening meals. Please contact us if you require assistance with booking accommodation.
