The New Zealand String Quartet, now in its 34th season, will perform across Aotearoa throughout August and September for its 2021 National Tour. Immerse yourself in astounding beauty, inspire the senses, and fire your curiosity through four centuries of enlightening string quartet music.
Programme 2 sweeps from the sounds of late Mozart to contemporary NZ composer Louise Webster’s nostalgic ‘this memory of earth’. Following Shostakovich’s emotive and impassioned String Quartet No. 11 is Mendelssohn’s String Quartet Op. 13, No. 2 – an irresistible finale.
