Nelson City Brass and the Wellington Citadel Band of the Salvation Army present an evening of musical entertainment for all ages, showcasing soloists and full bands along with a massed band finale.
Nelson City Brass is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, brass bands in New Zealand and has been providing entertainment to the public of the Nelson region for over 160 years.
Under the baton of Musical Director Nigel Weeks the band were the National C Grade champions in 2016 and 2017 and this year gained second placing in their first year in the B Grade.
The Wellington Citadel Band of the Salvation Army were formed in 1883 and are under the leadership of Bandmaster Jim Downey. The band are in regular demand for civic and national functions and have toured overseas on a number of occasions in their long history, including a performances at the Royal Albert Hall in London and at Buckingham Palace.
An evening of quality musical entertainment is promised.
Tickets are $15 for adults and FREE for children (up to 18 years with Secondary School ID). Booking fees apply.
