True stories told live without pictures or notes: Couch Stories returns with the much-loved couch and all new stories. This year, we’re thrilled to host the 20th edition of this popular event, with tales centred around the theme: Time.
Couch Stories are personal, real-life experiences recounted on stage without notes or props – good old-fashioned storytelling by great local storytellers, and one of the most iconic events from and with Whakatū locals. The shows lie somewhere between improvisational theatre, stand-up comedy, drama and documentary.
Always engaging, Couch Stories are humorous and touching, some even enlightening. We cannot wait to hear this year’s storytellers – and recommend you better book quickly, Whakatū, as this event always sells out in no time!
