NCMA’s Lunchtime Series: Schubert’s “2 Cellos” String Quintet in C major
- This event has passed.
Schubert’s Quintet in C Major is one of the few popular examples of the string quintet instrumentation with two cellos rather than two violas, bringing an added depth of register. It is seen by many to be Schubert’s crowning achievement of chamber music, and his final instrumental composition.
Juliet Ayre – violin
Fleur Jackson – violin
Margarita Jackson – viola
