Natania is a Nelson grown musician who is in her first year of studying a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Classical Performance at Victoria University of Wellington. At 13 years old, she began learning trumpet under the tutelage of Chris Lukies then moved onto trombone which she studied with Nigel Weeks. In her last year of school at Nayland College she learned with Andrew Yorkstone who encouraged her to peruse a music career. She now studies with vice principal trombonist of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Mathew Alison. Natania has been a member of the Nelson City Brass Band and Junior band, the Nelson Symphony Orchestra and has performed in many other ensemble and solo events in Nelson during the last few years.

Natania will be accompanied by David Codd.
