CANCELLED Lunchtime Concert: Michael Elsworth presents the Seven Ages of Man
- This event has passed.

Cancelled due to Covid
Michael Elsworth hails from York, where schoolboy experiences both on stage and in the classroom fostered a lifelong passion for the works of Shakespeare. In the 1950`s he played Bassanio, Cloten, Laertes, Cassio, Caliban, Richmond, as an amateur with the Bolton Little Theatre, before deserting business to gain a degree in drama at University of Manchester and qualify as a high school drama teacher in Chester. Moving on from teaching he began further voice explorations, through Speech formation (Rudolf Steiner) before emigrating to Aotearoa in 1987. Living in Christchurch he has worked as a professional actor, at the Court as well as outdoor productions of Linneas Prince of Flowers, Taming of the Shrew, Merry Wives of Windsor, Gremio, Justice Shallow.
Recently he has collaborated with the Free Theatre in an outdoor event based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, bringing Shakespeare’s words into meeting with the world of musical sounds. This has led to this event where with the collaboration of Margarita Jackson and other Nelson musicians, we explore the Seven Ages of Man from As You Like It and other plays.
