One half of the Adam Troubadour Quartet: Grace McKenzie – violin, Bethany Angus – piano
Grace and Bethany have been playing together in several different groups over the years, beginning with the Secondary Schools’ Symphony Orchestra in 2013. They have played together as one half of the Adam Troubadour Quartet for the past two years and are looking forward to performing in the Adam Festival in Nelson early next year. Bethany and Grace have both been section principals in the National Youth Orchestra. Duo440 are performing in Christchurch and Nelson later this year as well as playing at Pōneke Classical Sessions on Cuba Street. Grace McKenzie has a Bachelor of Music in Performance Violin (Honours) from The University of Auckland. Originally learning the Suzuki method, Grace has learnt from Stephen Larsen for ten years.
Grace has attended the Castleman Quartet Programme in New York State and was awarded the ROSL Pettman Scholarship to attend tutorials and festivals in the UK in 2021 as a member of the Felice Duet.
Bethany has a Bachelor of Music with first class honours from the University of Waikato and New Zealand School of Music in performance cello. Bethany is also a keen pianist and has studied with Richard Mapp and Katherine Austin as well as some harpsichord study with Douglas Mews. Bethany is accompanist at Wellington East Girls’ College and plays with Orchestra Wellington.se brillante”.

PLEASE NOTE: CONCERTS WILL NOT RUN IN THE RED TRAFFIC LIGHT (they will resume in Orange).

VACCINE PASSES WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THIS CONCERT. Please bring ID as well.
