Fleur Jackson is a passionate performer and music educator. She studied with Jan Tawroszewics at Canterbury University during which time she was awarded the Gladys Vincent Memorial prize in music. On finishing her degree, she spent several years teaching and performing in an eclectic group of ensembles, playing music which ranged from Classical, to Jazz, Klezmer and American folk tunes. In 2016, she returned to study and completed her Honours year in classical violin with Helene Pohl at Victoria University in Wellington. In 2017, she was awarded the Barbara Finlayson Scholarship and continued on to complete her Masters.
Catherine Norton studied in Wellington and was winner of the Victoria University Concerto Competition and an Emerging Artist with New Zealand Opera, before postgraduate studies in London at the Guildhall School where she was awarded the duo prizes and was appointed an Artist Fellow. She is an alumna of Young Songmakers’ Almanac, Britten-Pears Young Artists, and the Franz-Schubert-Institut, Austria. She has appeared in recital in major London venues, at the Oxford Lieder Festival, and around Europe. She is the artistic director of Songbook (songbooknz.org).
