The Adam Summer School returns to Nelson to enthral audiences with two spectacular Finale Concerts, showcasing New Zealand and Australian string and piano students in performance.
For 28 students comprising 7 chamber ensembles, these concerts will be the culmination of a week’s intensive tutoring by the internationally acclaimed New Zealand String Quartet and guest pianist, Jian Liu.
The opportunity to work in depth on works by much-loved composers, Beethoven, Dvořák, Fauré, Haydn and Mozart, produces performances which will enlighten, open minds and above all, surpass expectation. The results of the week speak for themselves… “an absolutely unique immersive experience where the growth is astonishing.”
The Adam Summer School is regarded as a career launching pad for our next generation of young chamber musicians. Around 330 students have attended the School in its 25 year history, with many having furthered their studies overseas to pursue chamber music on the world stage.
