Our Beginner Youth Orchestra caters for children just starting on their music journey who have begun to learn an instrument and who can read basic music. Perfect for students in the Free Beginner Classes and basic Affordable Group Classes. Students must be a member of NCMA before joining this class.

The perfect group for kids looking to create beats, explore rhythm and learn the basics of bucket drumming while building confidence at the same time. The perfect pre-cursor to Vamos! Song, Dance, and Percussion class.

Part-song, madrigals, and consort singing with Rosemary Galton Open to adults and secondary school students, this class is an opportunity to improve your ensemble singing skills. Rosemary Galton, experienced choral and consort singer, will lead the group, looking at repertoire from the 15th century to the present day. An ability to read music is a must, and some experience of choral singing is desirable. If you want to try one-per-part a cappella singing in a fun, relaxed environment this is your chance! Students must be a member of NCMA to join this class.

Ever wanted to play in a Band? Here's your chance! NCMA's new contemporary music group will give students the opportunity to gain confidence through collaboration, build a contemporary musical repertoire, and perform as a live band. This performance-based education class will give students real-world experience as they jam out in an educational setting under the guidance of Contemporary Music Teacher Tom Watson.

Electronic Music (Ages 14 yrs and up) This class teaches students the fundamentals of making music using electronic music technology. It will cover a range of different hardware and software solutions using affordable equipment to compose music in a range of styles.

Royal Academy of Dance Ballet lessons for aspiring ballerinas. Students will learn the technique and art of Ballet through music, use of imagery and props.

NCMA’s Greenhill Community Orchestra is a friendly community orchestra for musicians who enjoy playing together and preparing for public performances. Lovely variety of music and all instruments are welcome, particularly brass! Students must be a member of NCMA before joining this class.

Lessons are tailored to suit the speed the students like to learn at and the type of music they enjoy. Lessons usually start with playing songs followed by different scales and melodies, then advances to improvising and theory.

The Intermediate Youth Orchestra is the perfect bridge between our popular Junior Youth Orchestra and the more advanced Senior Youth Orchestra. Students must be a member of NCMA before joining this class.
Instruments: Songwriting
This class gives students the opportunity to initiate, develop or refine their songwriting abilities. Guitar is selected as instrument of choice. However, most class material can be transferred and applied to a keyboard. NB: Its recommended that students can play open-chords on a guitar to a basic proficiency i.e. to recall and play a minimum of 3 different chords

Junior Ballet is designed for students aged 8-10yrs. The class is an introduction to Royal Academy of Dance Ballet, supported by a professional teacher with a positive manner towards teaching and learning.

Our Junior Youth Orchestra is a fun orchestra for primary & intermediate children with music arranged to suit all levels and instruments from beginners to grade 3. No auditions! Students must be a member of NCMA before joining this class.

This is a music therapy session for young people. The planned use of music will be used to engage and encourage individual and group creativity and self-expression. Trained professionals will provide a safe environment where feelings can be shared and heard, everyone is valued and can enjoy a sense of achievement, learn new skills and form new friendships.

This is a music therapy session for young people and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. The planned use of music will be used to engage and encourage individual and group creativity and self-expression. Our chamber orchestra offers an opportunity for advanced players to perform as a group. Membership by invitation.
