Skills and expertise

Andreas has been teaching in Nelson for the last 19 years around local schools as well as privately from his home studio.

He teaches total beginners up to advanced students.

A good starting point is correct posture behind the set and optimal finger grip of the sticks.

Andreas beginner lessons start with some simple coordination exercises and basic beats.

For more advanced students Andreas will offer a well balanced curriculum studying different drumming styles, techniques and drumming influences of different drummers and bands.

Andreas encourages his students to do trinity drum and bass guitar exams ranging from grade 1-8.” The improvement of the student preparing for an exam in regards to timing, technique and ear training is amazing!”

Andreas acknowledges the individual development of each student , keeping the lessons focused and fun.
