No auditions are required for entry into our Junior Youth Orchestra which caters for all instruments (strings, wind, brass and non-traditional instruments such as recorders & saxophones). Music is arranged to suit beginners to grade 3 players and children should be able to read simple music scores.
The orchestra tours local primary schools once a year and performs with other orchestras in NCMA’s Orchestral Pathway Concert each December. The Junior Youth Orchestra is a lot of fun and provides an excellent introduction to orchestral music and etiquette. Make new friends and make rapid progress on your instrument. There’s plenty of support for newcomers. This is NCMA’s most popular group.
Students must be a member of NCMA before joining this class.
