Violin – Kids Free Beginner Class

Jonna Arthur – Thursdays 4:00 pm

Lessons will be designed to give students a solid introduction to the violin using Sassmanshaus Early Start on the violin, Vol.1.

Students will study:
• Care of the violin and bow.
• Good posture bow hold and stroke
• Names of notes
• Bowing rhythms on various strings

String crossing
• Introducing the left hand, reading and creating new notes

Tanya Nock – Mondays 4:15 pm

The students will have a varied lesson working on basic technique of the violin, reading of notes and building a repertoire of melodies. Italian terms, improvisation and brain exercises are also built into the programme in a fun way.

Tuition is for 8 weeks per term, for a maximum of a year.

Commitment to regular attendance is important so that the class can progress together.

Please note that students need to organise their own instrument. Please talk to us about instrument hire as an option.
