Hollie Smith to perform at NCMA
HOLLIE SMITH & THE COMMITTEE TO PERFORM AT NELSON CENTRE OF MUSICAL ARTS
One of NZ’s most iconic and soulful musicians, Hollie Smith returns to Nelson this August to perform at the Nelson Centre of Musical Arts.
Hollie will perform this special one-off gig alongside The Committee – an Auckland based collective made up of some of the most skilled and experienced musicians in New Zealand, including New York based bassist Mat Fieldes, drummer Stephen Thomas, saxophonist Cameron Allen and guitarist Dixon Nacey.
Together, these talented and experienced musicians bring their different influences and writing styles to cover styles from more traditional jazz to the contemporary music of today.
This is a fantastic opportunity to hear Hollie and The Committee live in the intimate setting of the Nelson School of Music Auditorium.
In addition to their performance, The Committee will be reaching out to promising NMIT and other local music students to run jazz, contemporary and song writing workshops whilst in town.
