Michael TsalkaMichael Tsalka: February - April 2018

In 2018, distinguished teacher and keyboard player Michael Tsalka will undertake a residency with us from February until April.

During his time in the region, Michael will give several concerts and recitals, conduct workshops and perform concertos with the Nelson School of Music Chamber Orchestra. All concerts are affordable. We ask for a paper koha.

Michael’s busy schedule also sees him performing in Blenheim and in Golden Bay. A series of Sunday recitals are also being planned which will feature Michael and various Nelson musicians. These will be held at Old St John’s.

Michael will also be available to teach our keyboard teachers about technique and interpretation, especially in Baroque and early music styles and he is keen to get out to our senior schools, to mentor young keyboard musicians.

You can read more about Michael on his website.

Concert and recital information can be found on our events page. The Sunday Recital Programme will be listed here when available.

Please contact us at the office, if you would like more information about getting Michael out to your school.
